Miles Young Farmer Show Complex
The Miles Young Farmers worked diligently to build a show barn for our local 4-H and FFA students. As
time has progressed . . . the community has asked to use the facility for other events. It had no heating,
cooling, flooring, restrooms or kitchen. It was just a barn with a caliche floor. The group has now added a
cement floor, a kitchen with microwave, stove and refrigerator (these were donated by the Miles Young
Homemakers) and restrooms have been added. A $5000 grant from the Federal Land Bank Association
helped with the purchase of tables and chairs. In addition to all of the hard work by the members of Miles
Young Farmers, the Miles Preservation Authority committed to a $2000 payment annually for nine years
to help with the other items needed. This is an extremely nice facility that is available for rent.
